Thank you to CHI for sponsoring and donating all proceeds to fund the Teen Mental Health First Aid Program.

The end of the 25-26 school year is upon us. Seniors have left the building. Those staff members retiring have a continuous smile on their face. Students are ready to enjoy their summer vacation. Did I mention how big the retiring staff members smiles are? The reason for sending this letter is to let you know that dismissal on May 21, will be at 1:30. Tuscola CUSD 301 wishes everyone a great summer and we look forward to the 2026-27 school year.

Recap of last night's Girls Track and Field Central Illinois Conference Meet provided by Coach Sterkel. Photo credit to Mrs. Hornaday.
The Tuscola Girls Track and Field team turned in a strong performance at the CIC Conference Meet, highlighted by several All-Conference finishes and a number of personal bests.
Leading the way were our All-Conference athletes. Kate Foltz earned All-Conference honors in the 3200 meters with another tough and competitive effort. Ava Kleiss had an outstanding day, earning All-Conference in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.10 meters. Kali Gilpin added another All-Conference performance in the high jump while also tying the Tuscola school record with a clearance of 5’4”, matching a mark that now stands among the best in program history.
Ava’s meet was especially impressive from start to finish. In addition to her All-Conference long jump, she placed 3rd in the 100 meters with a personal record, finished 2nd in the 200 meters with another personal best, and added a 3rd-place finish in the triple jump. Her versatility and willingness to compete at a high level in multiple events continue to be a huge asset for our team.
Montserrat Xolo also put together a strong performance at the conference meet. Her effort, competitiveness, and willingness to step up in a big-meet environment helped add valuable points and energy for the Lady Warriors.
Kate Foltz also placed 3rd in the 1600 meter run as well as the 4x800 meter relay of Emma Spillman, Bella Dueker, Sami Walker and Amelia Manus.
We also want to recognize the leadership shown by Tessa Neuner and Reese Davis throughout the meet. Their example, composure, and support of teammates continue to play a major role in the growth and culture of our program.
Overall, the CIC meet was another strong step forward for the Lady Warriors, with personal bests, All-Conference honors, and record-tying performances showing the progress this group continues to make late in the season.
