Lead by example?!?

It has been a busy month at North Ward and next week is no different. Thanks to the NW PTO we will be having a book fair during conferences. Exact times TBA. We will send out e-wallet information next week.
The PTO is bringing in a food truck Thursday, 10/19, from 3:30-7:30 outside of North Ward! This is open to the community, so please spread the word! Make supper during Parent/Teacher conferences easy on yourself and swing by!
The PTO is also providing dinner for our staff from the food truck! See you all next week.
It was a great night for our Cross Country teams at last night's Central Illinois Conference meet. Our boys team is the conference champion with 6 of our runners earning All-Conference honors: Will Foltz (1st), Josiah Hortin (2nd), Jackson Barrett (3rd), Blake McLeese (4th), Xander Neamtu (6th), and David Hornaday (8th).
Congrats as well to our conference champ, Kate Foltz, on winning the girls race!

Good behavior and great rewards!

It was a productive morning in the shop for the students in Mrs. Schoon's Intro to Trades and Ag Mechanics class.

Tuscola High School would love for parents/guardians to join us at Parent-Teacher Conferences next week!

The Tuscola fire department is visiting for fire prevention week! The Smokehouse is here. A fire truck is here. Most important the fire fighters are here. They are so good with the kiddos!

The following health documents required by the state are due by Friday, October 13th. Failure to do so will result in exemption from school starting Monday, October 16th until the school receives documentation. If forms are missing, numerous communication attempts (emails, phone calls, letters home) have been made.
For questions please contact your school nurse, Aja Bozarth, via email at bozartha@cusd301.org or by calling any of the school offices.

More love for Mrs Trina!

A special shout out goes to our high school's Key Club. This summer, our student members provided 116 hours of service to others. They're currently working on four different projects to support 4 different organizations in the month of October. The three students with the most service hours are Lidia Manzella (40 hours), Ella Maxfield (30 hours), and Raeanna Boyer (21 hours). Congrats to Lidia on being named the Key Club Member of the Month.

TCHS is excited to collaborate with the Douglas County Health Department, RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness, and the U of I extension office to bring Teen Mental Health First Aid to our PE and Conditioning courses this fall. We appreciate the group's dedication to the well-being of our students!
