Congrats to TCHS English teacher, Darcey Voyles, who was awarded the Horace Mann Crystal Apple for being named the Teacher of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter. Colleagues had this to say about Ms. Voyles:
-She's a great example of professionalism.
-She builds relationships, meets students where they are, and sets them up to excel.
-She has a unique ability to hold students to a high standard and helps them reach their highest potential.
-She passionately cares for students.
-Walk into her classroom and you can tell she genuinely loves her subject material.

Thank you to TCHS senior Brayden Gough for his work all school year long as our News-Gazette High School Confidential writer. Each week, he submits a photo and brief write-up of exciting activities going on at TCHS which are then printed in the News-Gazette. Brayden was recently awarded certificates of appreciation from the News-Gazette and from Danville Area Community College for his efforts.

Thank you to the EP Student Council for a successful fundraiser. $400 was donated to the animal shelter. Thank you to all the teachers who participated.

Thank you to Illinois State Comptroller Susana Mendoza for recognizing our Illinois State Scholars. Graduating seniors are named Illinois State Scholars based on exceptional SAT scores and class rank. Approximately 10% of seniors in Illinois earn the distinction. Pictured from left to right are:
Will Foltz, Lizzy Powell, Jordan Quinn, Jackson Barrett, Catie Gibson, Alyx Gardner, Natalie Hasting, and Sydney Moss. Not pictured are Mae West and Elle Jones.

We love our TCHS Big Buddies!

Tuscola High School is looking for 3-5 years old to join us in late April and early May for our preschool presented by our Early Childhood Education Class. Forms are available in the high school office.

Mrs. Cunningham's class had some visitors this afternoon! Mrs. Emily Scribner brought them and shared some facts about ducks!

The EP girls track team was glad to get back outside for practice today. GO HORNETS!

Mrs. Baird's why. Love it!

This guy, along with fellow police office Donnals, visit often to see the students and staff. Sometimes just to say hello but always to answer questions. Building relationships one student at a time. Thanks to you both.

Mrs. Baird's class enjoying reading from the FFA! Thanks to the FFA members for reading to classes at North Ward today.

Congrats to Sydney Moss who was recently named the March Rotary Student of the Month!

The TCHS Drama Department would like to extend a huge thank you to all who attended our spring production. Not only were all seats filled up for opening night, but Friday night every last chair at North Ward was used to accommodate the large audience. The community support our program receives is second to none. We are already looking forward to and planning for an extra special 2024-2025 season! Stay tuned, and thank you for supporting the arts in Tuscola! ~Mrs. Steffens

Sometimes it is hard for people to find a smile when life is hitting right back. Sometimes if someone or something smiles at you it can help you find that smile. Share your smile today!

I was asked to play Tic-Tac-Toe and he let me win but I had to sign the form. Only 9 years and up? I just made the cut.

Thanks to Dr. Franklin and FCCLA for setting up a St. Patrick's Day themed photo booth in the library today. Students and staff had a blast taking photos.

TwIns! Danny and Arnold hanging out looking good.

You go girl!
