Congrats to our very own Mrs. Rominger who received the Dr. Luis V. Amador Medallion Award this past Saturday in Peoria at the Illinois-Eastern Iowa Kiwanis District Convention for her work as an educator at TCHS and her work devoted to leading our local Special Olympics.
The Amador Award is an award program within the Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation that allows a Kiwanis Divisional Council, District Board, Key Club and Circle K Boards within the I-I District to extend special recognition and honor to an individual that has demonstrated outstanding service within his or her community.
The recipients have been nominated for recognition and receive a numbered Amador Medallion. A minimum contribution of $500 is made in the name of the recipient to an endowment fund within the Kiwanis Neuroscience Foundation of the I-I District of Kiwanis, the income from which will be used to continuously support the programs of the Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation.
Kiwanis Governor Tom Willis and Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation Chair Ken Whitmore presented the award to Mrs. Rominger.
