Section 17 FFA Volleyball Tournament is an event that happens every year where all the schools in our FFA Section 17 compete to win the golden volleyball trophy! We didn’t bring home 1st place for volleyball but we DID bring home the trophy for best in show!



Congrats to our girls for a heckuva season. Altamont wins 52-37.
With 2:41 to go, Altamont leads Tuscola 44-33.
At the end of 3, Altamont leads 36-28.
At the half, Altamont leads Tuscola 22-21.
After 1, the Warriors lead Altamont 12-10.
Congratulations to Michelle Reese for winning the Vet Science - Placement award at the Section 17 FFA Proficiency contest on 2/15! She will advance to the District 4 contest on March 6th. Good luck Michelle! She has also been recommended to receive her IL FFA State Degree which only 5% of IL FFA Members are awarded! She has worked very hard for these achievements and we are so proud of how well she has represented the chapter!

On Saturday, February 10th, the Camargo United Methodist Church hosted the 68th annual Stephen A. Douglas Chapter, DAR/SAR Good Citizens' Luncheon. TCHS students Brayden Gough (SAR recipient) and Raeanna Boyer (DAR recipient) were recognized. The program speaker was TCHS English teacher, Darcey Voyles. Raeanna was chose as the chapter's DAR essay winner this year. She received a monetary prize and an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol.



Congratulations to our "Most Likely To Be Hired" Speech students who were voted on by their peers. Results were based on both speaking and interviewing skills showcased at the end of their career unit. 4th period recipients are Jackson Burlew, Isabelle Sturts, Lia Patterson, and Emily Veach. 7th period recipients are Andrew Spillman, Katelyn Cler, and Waylen Goodmann.
