A big congrats to Owen Brewer and Taylor Revell for their success at EIU today in the Special Olympics Region I Spring Games.
Owen earned a Gold Medal in mini-javelin and a Bronze in the 100m run!
Taylor won Gold in the mini-javelin and 100m run!
A big shout-out to Mrs. Rominger who started Special Olympics at TCHS in 2015. Mrs. Rominger will retire from her teaching position at the end of this school year and coached in her last Olympic Games today. Thank you, Mrs. Rominger for the opportunities you've provided to our students!

This week, Early Childhood Education students planned and executed a preschool for community preschoolers! We learned about parrots, sea turtles, and penguins - all animals you might visit in the zoo. Thank you to the parents who entrusted your little ones with us - it was so fun!

Softball defeats Clinton at home last night in Central Illinois Conference action.
The Maroons defeat the Warriors in Baseball.
In Boys Track and Field, Tuscola defeated Mattoon and Champaign Central. Riley McCall finished 1st in the 110m Hurdles, Chase Shipman 1st in the 300m Hurdles, and Trey Waldrop 1st in the Shot and Discus. Bradlee Washington, James Jonas, Calvin Cook, and Kam Flenner won the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400.

Congrats to the TCHS Scholastic Bowl Team who finished their season today as runner-ups in the Parkland Challenge. The Warriors won the semifinal match over Centennial 280-260 before falling in the championship game to SJO 300-250.

Congrats to Reese Davis and Dylan Graves who were chosen as the Tuscola recipients for the Central Illinois Conference Scholar Athlete Recognition. Dylan and Reese attended the CIC meeting today with Coach Hornaday and Coach Bozarth where each school presented their scholar athlete award winners.

Baseball wins last night over Heritage and stretches their winning streak to 5. The Warriors are back at home this afternoon vs. Clinton.

EP girls track competed last Thursday in Arthur and last Saturday in the Tuscola International. Up next is a five team meet in Arcola. Pictured are the Hornet and award winners from the last two meets, and Avery who took first place in both Shot and Discus at the invite. Congratulations to all.



Congratulations to Tuscola Students Ryker Gough and Chloe Fowler, (TCHS) Ava Brown and Avery Huffman (EP) and Jacob Medina and Evelyn Wilke (Northward) for being recognized at the Illini Region Illinois Principal's Association Recognition Breakfast. They were chosen by their teachers for their work ethic, positive character and leadership. Great job to these students for being a great representatives of Tuscola Schools!

Congrats to the Tuscola Boys Track and Field Team for winning the 40th Annual Tuscola Open! The Boys won the 14 team meet with 105 team points.
Our Girls Team finished 10th in the 15 team meet with 20.5 points.

Another amazing free haircut event for Tuscola CUSD #301 students! Huge thanks to five dedicated local stylists (Danielle Carter, Brittany Dalton, Allison Smith, Nathan Simms, and Tory Franklin) who gave their time and talent—delivering two straight hours of nonstop haircuts after already working full days in their own salons.

EP Girls Track competed in their second home meet of the season where the team collected 32 PRs. Pictured are the Hornet recipients from the meet, ribbon winners for throwing from the Bulldog Invite last week, and our mile runners who want everyone to come watch their team at ALAH Thursday.
