We'd like to send a HUGE congratulations to the students and staff at Tuscola Community High School. Today, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) recognized TCHS as one of the top performing schools in the state of Illinois. Our Warriors earned an Exemplary Rating from ISBE. This is the highest designation a school in Illinois can earn.

The Core Indicators that the state looks at on our annual report card are: Graduation Rate, Test Scores (English, Math, Science), and Growth on our Test Scores. The Elevating Indicators for TCHS are: Our School Climate Survey from students and our Consistent Student Attendance Rate.

We surprised our students this afternoon with a celebratory pep rally that included Dairy Queen ice cream cake, free t-shirts, and of course, our school song.

Halloween fun at EP. There was everything from funny to creepy and there was even a mummy wrapping contest. NOTE: masks were only worn for pictures.

Volleyball finishes their season last night with a 2 set loss to Salt Fork in the Regional Semifinal. TCHS will host the Regional Championship this evening as Casey-Westfield battles Salt Fork at 6pm.

TCHS Scholastic Bowl faced Shelbyville last night. The Warriors varsity team split the two matches with the Rams. The JV team also split with the Rams winning the first game followed by the Warriors in the second.

Our Varsity moves to 3-1 on the season.

Volleyball defeats Heritage in 2 sets last night in the 1st round of the IHSA Class 1A Regional. The Warriors advance to the semifinals against Salt Fork at 6pm on Wednesday at TCHS.

Come out and cheer on the Warriors to victory!

Thank you to the Tuscola Fire Department for all of their education this month. They visited our Preschool & Kindergarten classrooms and had an assembly for our 1st through 4th graders. We appreciate your involvement with our students in helping to keep everyone safe!

We hosted the IHSA Class 1A Cross Country Regional at Wimple Park this past Saturday. It was a great day for the Warriors as both teams advanced to next weekend's Class 1A Sectional at Lake Land College. The girls finished 6th in the team standings, and the boys finished in 3rd.

Will Pettry led the Warriors by finishing 4th overall.

On Saturday, October 31st, the girls will run at 10am with the boys to follow at 11am.

Varsity was on the road last night at Windsor Stew-Stras. The Hatchets won the Varsity and JV competitions in 2 sets. Our Frosh split sets.

Join us on Thursday for Senior Night against Central A&M. The JV begins at 6pm.

Scholastic Bowl opened the season against Clinton last night. The Warriors defeated the Maroons in both matches. In JV, Tuscola won the first match, while Clinton took the 2nd.

In Volleyball, our Varsity lost in 2 to Marshall. The Warrior JV fell in 3 sets to the Lions.

We are less than a month away from the TCHS fall production of Frozen, Jr. at Stage 301! Tickets will be available online beginning Monday, 11/2 at 8:00 a.m. Any remaining seats will be available for purchase at the door. You won't want to miss this amazing show!

We hope that you'll join us at our Veterans Day Assembly on Wednesday, November 11th at 9:00am. Our Kindergarten through 12th grade students will all be in attendance. Our FFA will have breakfast available for all veterans beginning at 7:30am.

TCHS Volleyball fell in 2 sets last night at St. Teresa in Frosh, JV, and Varsity contests. The Warriors are back home on Monday vs. Marshall.
